The Żabka chain eliminated unnecessary, disposable plastic materials from its stores. Shopping bags, the so-called skidding and plastic lids for coffee cups have been replaced completely biodegradable, paper counterparts.
In this way, Żabka and its customers will reduce the consumption of plastic by as much as 1000 tons per year. Żabka wants to build positive environmental habits among customers, which is why it promotes responsible shopping and encourages people to bring their own bags.
Żabka is a chain of small and convenient stores. Its customers usually do little shopping, but several times. Żabka customers buy a bag only 1 time in 20 purchases. In the remaining 95% they use their own bag or simply eat the purchased products as soon as they leave the store.
By eliminating unnecessary disposable plastic materials from stores, Żabka and its customers will reduce the consumption of plastic by as much as 1000 tons per year. This is another step taken by the company to support the environment and develop the concept of small big steps that have an impact on the environment.
