Three tons of plastic waste does not sound to be much. But sustainability is not always about huge numbers, it is also about incorpporating sustainability thinking in everything we do and achieving savings where it is possible.

O2 in the Czech Republic can achieve the saving of 3 tonnes of plastic per year with its new initiative. This is the equivalent of almost 67 thousand PET bottles by redisigning its SIM card carriers.

The halving of the carrier somehow follows the size reduction that already happened with SIM cards since most phones already use nano or micro sims.

After recycling old mobile phones, this is another environmentally friendly step on the part of the operator.
