Holcim Romania is repositioning itself and developing a new business model called ECONCEPTIt is based on an innovative offer in terms of climate impact, which includes three complementary directions: ECO Solutions (products and green solutions, with low CO2 footprint), ECO Services (consultancy and tools for the construction of sustainable projects) and ECO Score (evaluation and certification of the climatic performances of the products in the portfolio).

For the first time in the construction materials industry in Romania, Holcim launches ECOPact – the most varied range of green concrete in the industry, with CO2 emissions reduced by over 30%, created to accelerate the transition to sustainable construction.

This new service offering has a wide range of areas of use: residential and non-residential civil constructions, industrial and hydrotechnical constructions, special industrial constructions as well as special constructions for water transport and marine structures. Through the new range of high-performance concrete, the company actively contributes to reducing the CO2 footprint of any construction.

At the same time, Holcim Romania sets new standards for its products, by launching new specialized services in the field of green constructions and by transparent evaluation and comparison systems of the alternatives in its portfolio:

  • Eco consulting services , which facilitate the transition to sustainable construction and support the reduction of CO2 emissions and the circular economy.
  • Eco Stamp – evaluation and transparency system introduced by the LafargeHolcim Group. It indicates the CO2 footprint of Holcim products and the content of recycled material, being used only for products with superior climatic performance (CO2 emissions reduced by at least 30% and / or at least 20% by recycled material).
  • Green Label – a transparent self-assessment system for the climate performance of Holcim products manufactured in Romania, which indicates the percentage by which CO2 emissions are reduced compared to the EU reference value.

In line with the ambition set by LafargeHolcim, Holcim Romania also set the target to achieve CO2 neutrality by 2050.
