CANPACK Group announced that EcoVadis, the global independent sustainability ratings platform, has awarded CANPACK a Gold certificate for the company’s social responsibility and sustainability performance. This achievement places CANPACK in the top 5% of the 70,000 companies assessed by EcoVadis in 2020.
To underline its commitment to building a more sustainable business for the future, CANPACK has worked extensively to set up a structured sustainability management system.
This also includes setting new sustainability targets recently. In February 2021 CANPACK has announced a range of environmental commitments that will ensure the company’s impact on the planet is kept to a minimum.
Focusing on the production of aluminium cans, the targets set until 2025 against a 2019 baseline, will see CANPACK focus its efforts across five key areas, namely Electricity Consumption, Thermal Energy Consumption, Water Consumption, Waste Generation and Waste Recycling.
CANPACK S.A. is a Kraków based producer of aluminium cans that was established in 1992. The first production line was launched in the beverage can plant in Brzesko in 1994.
