As reported by fintek.pl BNP Paribas is the first bank in Poland to establish cooperation with Doconomy to allow customers to track and measure their carbon footprint. The bank will provide them with the Åland Index counter.

‘Working with Doconomy to engage our customers is the first step in offering innovative and easy-to-use tools in this area. We are already implementing a number of initiatives in the field of sustainable development, but we also want to support our clients in creating a better tomorrow’ – says Dariusz Maciołek, Managing Director of the Communication and Marketing Division at BNP Paribas Bank Polska.

Doconomy is a Swedish company founded in 2018 that provides digital solutions for tracking and measuring carbon footprint. DO, Doconomy’s Mobile Banking App, is used to manage savings and promote sustainable consumption. The Åland Index Solutions Impact Calculator, part of the DO application, uses data covering 99% of global market capitalization through a partnership with Trucost, part of S&P Global.
